In September 2022, Alex and her family were expecting baby #2 when they received a fatal fetal diagnosis during routine scans. Baby Lily was born still October 1st 2022. Lily is loved deeply and remembered daily by Alex, Jonathan and her two brothers. This profound loss brought Alex to the Butterfly Run where she will continue to remember Lily.

Erin's first child, Briar was stillborn at 37+4 due to Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy while they were waiting to induce delivery. Following her daughter's death, Erin has committed to educating care providers about pregnancy and infant loss and how better to support grieving parents. She facilitated the fundraising and donation of CuddleCots to five Vancouver Island hospitals in Briar's name to allow parents to spend more time with their children. She is grateful for the support and services offered by Butterfly Run and is honoured to be a part of the Vancouver Island committee, assisted by Briar's little sister Aura.

While expecting her third child, Laura learned that her son, James, had died in utero at 19 weeks due to unexplained causes. James was intensely loved by Laura and her family and is deeply missed and remembered. James was followed by Estelle (died at 7 weeks in utero) and Nova (died at 11 weeks in utero due to Trisomy 21). Laura’s heart and life have been profoundly impacted by these precious little people. She is joining Butterfly Run Vancouver in memory of James, Estelle, and Nova and to offer support to people experiencing pregnancy loss.
